Scarves

Scarves have been in fashion and adoring the humans since long time now. Scarf is the only component of dressing which is present in almost all the cultures all over the globe in some or the other form.

Though it is a simple piece of cloth it protects against the hot sun, the cold weather, dust and at times rains. It is also used to keep hair clean and clear of dust where there are lot of dust storms and sandstorms.

Woolen scarves in cold countries of Europe and other continents are used to keep one warm.

People living in different geographical locations have been using this scarf mainly for protection against the weather.

Slowly it evolved to beautify and add elegance to people. One must have seen beautiful women wearing scarves across the streets.Earlier the scarves were hand knitted and took lot of time to just make one scarf.

One can remember old granny knitting them for their children and grand children. These days there are fast automatic machineries which can produce thousands of them in a day.

Different materials are used for their manufacturing depending on the requirement of the customer from woolen to cotton, silk, nylon, rayon and many others.

Cotton ones are most often used in hot areas and those made of synthetic fibers are used in cold regions.

The silk scarves need a special attention while preserving them because there are chances of them being destroyed by insects.

It can be an excellent gift for a dear one if they have a taste of it. Apart from being tied over the head scarves are also used as neck ties and bow ties.
