Embroidered tops are always all the rage. These tops are actually the kurta or the kurti, a traditional piece of clothing worn by men and women in northern India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
It is a loose tunic falling either just above or somewhere below the knees of the wearer, with different degrees of width. Women are known to patronize wearing tight embroidered tops.
The kinds of embroideries done on the embroidered tops are as diverse as can be. Just a few of the customary styles that employ heavy look are resham embroidery, sequins embroidery,
zari embroidery, dori work and dubka work. A hoard of other elegantly sewn patterns include woven picots, Romanian couching, Bokhara couching, Chikankari, Kantha embroidery and mirror embroidery.
Ladies may want to wear full-sleeved embroidered tops, which theoretically usually have kashmere embroidery done on them.
Half-sleeve embroidered tops usually employ chikan embroidery, in theory. Still there are sleeveless embroidered tops for one and all. |
