Floorings

Flooring is a room’s surface on which different structures are held firmly. Initially the house construction begins with the laying of foundation and then base of the building comes up accompanied by the strong pillar structures. After the basic operations were finished, surfaces are prepared on the base of the building.

Importance is given to the features like artsy, elegancy, decorativeness, functionality and so on. Different types of materials are available and used for the constructing the floorings. During the olden days floorings were made with mud, pine, and latter with bluish black stones.

Cement flooring had begun to occupy the positions of mud and bluish black stones. Primarily, ordinary cement floorings were prepared. Plain colors were applied on the floorings to get pleasing appearance.

Wooden floorings find its importance in the places where the problem of earthquake is more. Various artistic carvings are made on the floorings made of wood.

Ash, oak, and maple were added to the wooden flooring to get special kind of appearance. Life of the flooring is increased by the addition of oak.

Dining rooms are prepared with the floorings with oak. There are facts that even some of the modern builders have preferred wood despite the cost involved to other materials in the commercial buildings.

The recent trend of making flooring involves the application of marble stones which is cost wise higher, tiles, and mosaic.The flooring made with mosaic had quite a say for many years in the eyes of the public. Currently, floorings made of tiles have taken the position of mosaic floorings.

In today’s world builders have started showing more interest in the selection of quality tiles for the flooring with the consent of the owner of the building.

Carpets are put on the floorings in the cold countries. In tropical and warm countries, flooring made of hardwood is chosen and also it gives the house active appearance.
